Having always loved so many sports and recognising that it was a big part of who I am, I began to follow my passion for health and fitness after university. Firstly qualifying as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist in 2008, before going on to certify as a STOTT pilates instructor in 2009.
My career started with PhysioActive in London and so I was fortunate to work with a great team of physiotherapists right from the start, who allowed me to pick their brains!
I now live and work in and around Cheltenham. I am a bit of an education addict, so you will often find that I’m on a course picking up new information and techniques. I’m currently studying and starting to introduce Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) and Anatomy in Motion (AiM) into my practice as a form of assessment and rehabilitation tool.
I’m often asked, ‘What sport do you do?’……..my answer is ‘erm, a bit of everything’. Over the years I’ve dabbled in swimming, diving, rowing, Muy Thai, running, hockey, netball, tennis, skiing, walking, trampolining, weights, surfing, pilates and yoga. I like to keep it varied. Also it is a journey, you may become injured or become ill and you have to find what activity you can do at that time to help yourself.
